Surprise Mid-Week Blog: Jumping the Gun - Mommy Blogs?
I know it is jumping the gun a bit, but I read Leslie Morgan Steiner's On Balance Blog on washingtonpost.com. It is one of the few things I make time to read every day.
Yesterday's resonated with me. I agree with her 100% that blending infant care and work should be much more natural. I also do agree that the person probably did this as a publicity stunt, but I do think that breastfeeding in meetings (or removing the taboo of having an infant at work) would break down certain walls for me. I was shocked that I had to read down through over 100 comments before I found anyone who even comes close to agreeing with me and the author. E doesn't even agree with me on this one. But I already bring a TON of work home - what's wrong with bringing my infant into the office (so long as I'm the one caring for her).
