Eric: "But it made sense in my head"
Kate: "What, that you didn't know what my last name was?"
Eric: "No, that You spelled your name MYERS and he spelled his name MYERS but I thought they were different at the end."
Kate: "That makes even less sense"
Eric: "You see, there are three different kinds of 's'es. There's S, which makes a sssss sound, then there's s, which makes a ssst sound, then there's s, which makes a weird sound because it is all backward. See? It all makes sense."
Kate: "How many beers did you have?"
Eric: "One too many"
Kate: "I think I'll let you go to sleep."
I guess I'll let it slide, because the red sox come back to boston with a 2-0 lead over the Angels :)

See, Eric was clearly thinking in Polish, where there are about 5 bajillion different s sounds, each one harder to pronounce than the next!
