I...

I may have to leave for work in 6 hours.
I may have just been turned down when I asked someone to marry me.
I may have incredible money issues that are driving me crazy.
I may not have a college degree.
I may have missed the lunar eclipse.

But the Red Sox won the world series.

No one who reads this knew me as a kid, but I did follow baseball, albeit as any klutzy 9-14 year old shy girl, until John Olerud ended the '93 world series. My dad even had tickets to game 4, which we didn't go to, because my mom was sick. That, combined with the fact that my father decided that my brother would be better to go to sports games with, rather than nurturing his budding sports fan. I don't mind it now -- but this one is for every boy I brought home who broke the ice with my father by talking about the Fenway watercolor over the mantle. Especially the latest one. I fell in love with a Red Sox fan, and now, no blown World Series can put me off baseball :). You know why?

Because they didn't blow it.

Thank you, Eric, for reintroducing me to baseball. And what a time to be reintroduced :).
